Sunbury Walled Garden – Summer 2011

sunbury-smallIn 2011, Life Irrigation was delighted to provide an irrigation system for the beautiful Walled Garden in Sunbury-on-Thames. This was originally the vegetable garden for the manor house but in about 1986, Spelthorne Council restored it with the help of experts to provide a stunning park, which is now also home to the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery.

In July 2012, for the second year running, The Walled Garden was presented with the prestigious Green Flag Award which is given to parks and open spaces which are officially recognised as being well-maintained, well-managed and having excellent facilities. Check out for more.

In response to the Walled Garden receiving the Green Flag Award, Councillor Denise Grant, Spelthorne Council Cabinet Member for Parks and Assets said: “This is a great award and a wonderful place to visit. The award has been gained through hard work and attention to detail. To get it two years in a row is a real tribute to that.”

Life Irrigation is very proud to be associated with the Walled Garden and happy that their irrigation system contributed to the award winning status of the garden!
