A combination of a practical family garden with a tropical touch as part of its design. This garden is mainly laid to lawn, with raised flower beds and a vegetable patch. An array of colourful plants and New Zealand ferns beautifully complement each other. Ferns help to weave a garden or landscape into a lush tapestry of texture and colour.
What we did
We installed the automatic irrigation system to this new garden after all landscaping work had been completed. When designing systems, we ensure that all areas of the garden receive the correct amount of water for the species of plant.
The irrigation system in this modern landscaped garden comprises gear driven pop up sprinklers beneath the lawn. We always specify gear driven pop up sprinklers for lawns due to their reliable mechanism and strong spring. The flower beds receive irrigation from professional micro sprinklers. The vegetable patch has its own isolators for when the beds are not in use. New Zealand ferns receive irrigation from individual drippers located within their crown. The system is fed from a well concealed 1340 litre holding tank, submersible pump, irrigation controller and wireless rain sensor.
