We first attended this larger than average garden when it was in a poor state and the lawn was dry and patchy. It was evident that with the correct design and the benefit of an irrigation system, the garden would thrive and provide amazing energies to the family and resident wildlife.
What we did
The garden is mainly laid to lawn with flower beds around the large front driveway and rear patio area. Most of the flower beds have contemporary planting, comprising Buxus and other perennial plants, together with seasonal bedding plants, some of which have different watering requirements that had to be taken into account when designing the irrigation system.
There is an additional area of bamboo screening adjacent to the swimming pool, which requires a larger volume of water.
The irrigation system comprises gear driven pop up sprinklers to lawns and micro sprinklers to the flower beds, borders and bamboo screening. The irrigation system is fed from a 5000 litre tank. The controller is fitted with a wireless rain sensor and a remote control.
